WALL OF SUCCESS

DIVERSITY STRENGTH WARMTH PASSION LOYALTY

Each Stone Here Represents The Strength We Gain From Our Team, Clients And Vendors, We Are Not Successful Without One! Their Trust Is The Foundation Upon Which We Build The Future.

When asked the question of what she thought represented the foundation of her business, founder Ginger Martin immediately had a picture in mind; a cobblestone wall. Like the wall, her business has been meticulously built over the course of fifteen years on a foundation of passion for the industry and diligence to achieve excellent client care. Each stone represents a team member, a client, or a vendor. As can be said of the wall, every one of these pieces plays a role in the structural integrity of the business.

Ginger Martin (Founder)

Beginning with her first job in high school, Ginger has had a strong work ethic. She possessed a competitive striving for excellence in working fast food that has extended into other jobs throughout her life and created a strength to go above and beyond.

The instant Ginger saw the cobblestone wall, it hit home! It reminded her of the determination she’s had to have since the birth of OSA in 2003. There were many visions and goals that have driven her from the beginning even though she knew it wasn’t going to be easy to reach them all. Even knowing how difficult it would be, Ginger admits she truly had no idea of just how much strength she would need to endure all that was coming her way. During the first two years after forming the business, she worked a full-time “day” job and would come home every night to work in her basement office. Her husband was a huge help in taking care of their children and their house while she pressed on toward her aspirations. She had an ardent desire to provide what every customer was ultimately looking for in their purchase – strong customer service. She also knew, from her years in the industry, that customer service was severely lacking. After a few years, One Stop Apparel began to flourish as referrals about her exceptional customer care began to pour in. This allowed her to take the leap into her business full-time. Her mission was to offer the perks of a large company without losing the attention to detail afforded to her clients that is so often missing in many businesses she had observed. No matter the challenges Ginger faced, her focus remained on the passion she had for her clients. This remains firmly true 15 years later.

“Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.” - Arnold Schwarzenegger

OUR TEAM

Ginger realizes that the success and failure of her company greatly depends on what kind of team she has in place. She believes in her statement, “Regardless of how intelligent and passionate you are with your work, you can only be successful if you have team members who are as passionate for your company’s success as you are. In addition, you must have the capacity to motivate your team”.

Consider the wall. Each large rock portrays an OSA team member, and the other various ones surrounding them represent the strengths and uniqueness they bring to our company. Bonded together they create a solid team. Ginger sincerely works to make her team proud and find areas where they fit best. She is both stubborn and flexible. For her team members this means following her vision to a tee, but adding ideas of their own to build upon that vision. Ginger is open and encourages a team atmosphere. She has been challenged a time or two with concerns of procedures and has no issue with admitting when she is wrong or when her ideas may not be the best solution. She is committed to the success of her members and their families, to creating a continuous learning environment, to being a result-driven company, and to loving and serving one another. We hire team members, not employees!

“Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.” – Andrew Carnegie

CLIENTS

When speaking of clients, the first questions to answer are these: Will a prospect be enticed to find out more of how we conduct business? Will our existing clients continue to be proud of how we are serving them?

Looking at the stones from a client based perspective, the wall displays many sizes but which all are of value and importance. Ginger is extremely proud of the lasting relationships she has built and the new ones that are being created. The wall can also represent companies who have gotten lost in the multitude of clients a different company might have, or others who are lost in their own industry for an inability to brand properly allowing their competition to leave them behind. At OSA, we know there are a variety of branding expectations and products to solve these issues and accomplish a goal of brand awareness. Ginger is determined to show the importance of client care and what should be expected. To display her commitment, she has made this motto a tagline for all her emails to be a constant reminder of what her business strives for. It’s simply in her DNA!

“Customer service is not a department, but the mindset and attitude that should pervade in handling all our client’s business needs”.

VENDORS

These stones represent the variety of vendors -- large and small -- we have had the pleasure of building partnerships with over the years. Ginger understands that it is equally important to value your vendors and build their trust as well as a sincere relationship with them so that they believe in your company. Just as is expected of your team, you must also have reliable vendors who are dedicated to your success.

“A smart Manager will establish a culture of gratitude. Expand the appreciative attitude to suppliers, vendors, delivery people, and of course customers.” – Harvey Mackay

IN CONCLUSION

The stones in this wall show that while being stubborn and strong, she is willing to go different directions when needed to improve regardless if it be with her team, clients, or vendors. Ginger states, “You should never stop self-evaluating...not ever!” Our company has been filled with highs and lows that have tested our resilience and pushed us to overcome. We have fought, built, persevered, and stood strong for fifteen years and Ginger has no intention of letting our wall be crumbled. For her wall of success to thrive, it takes a passionate leader, persistent team members, dedicated vendors, and loyal clients.
